"Borgward, Goliath, Hansa and Lloyd's friends, I invite you warmly to our 36th Int. Borgward Club meeting 3rd to 5th September at Cuxhaven.

Cuxhaven lies 90 km north of Bremen on the Elbe estuary, nestled in a beautiful coastal landscape on the North Sea.

A pleasant town with a maritime flair and plenty to do. The Lower Saxony Wattenmeer National Park invites you to beautiful beaches with walking and cycling by extensive woodland and heathland. If you like it quieter, take a walk through the mudflat's at low tide, surrounded by total silence.

You could spend time there before or after the Borgward meeting, a few days holiday in a relaxing, enjoying healthy sea air.

The Borgward meeting takes place at and in the historical Hapag-Hallen. The terminal Steubenhöft / America station / Hapag-hall was built in the years 1900-1913 and used to book in passenger traffic until 1968 for the scheduled service to North America. Hundreds of thousands of emigrants set out from here with ships of Hapag (Hamburg-American Packet drive joint-stock company in 1847) into a new future. Today, well-known cruise ships cruise around the world from here. Enjoy the charm of this historic world's only remaining in-service immigration clearance Hall of Crusaders. Not far from our meeting place is Weltschifffahrtsweg ocean liner.

Our festive evening we spend in the glamorous atmosphere of the domed hall, once the passenger waiting room. All other events are held in the Hapag-Hallen. auto jumble dealers can set their stands up in the hall.

Outside of the program is an opportunity for an exciting harbor cruise, a visit to Cuxhaven fishing museum or the historic lightship Elbe 1st Those who do not like a maritime, stroll can look and linger in the shopping center is Nordersteinstrasse with its shops and inns, or in the Schiller Street in the pilotage district.

Of course there will be again this year an attractive commemorative plaque. They will show Kugelbake the 29-meter-high landmark of the city of Cuxhaven. Once navigational aids, it served the sailors as a guide. This is where the Elbe flows into the North Sea.

I wish you a pleasant trip and look forward to seeing you. Please bring good weather! "
